FOCUS has been the topic of the last few podcasts. Focus is what will help you LEVEL-UP, play BIGGER and achieve your goals and dreams. Hell, many times it can help you just get through the day!
In last Monday's podcast, I was specific in discussing environment and the distractions that keep us from focusing. Last week I had my own set of distractions and unfortunately there wasn’t much I could do about it, well... maybe a little bit! What was the DISTRACTION? You'll have to listen in to hear about it and how it sent me down another rabbit hole! But, how I controlled my FOCUS on Friday to help me get one HUGE thing off my to-do list, luckily before my day was stolen from me!
Many people have unavoidable distractions like what happened to me, or worse. But most of the time, the distractions are shit we CAN control! Like social media for fun or boredom, or to AVOID! And there are the non-business phone calls, texts or emails and most importantly our reactions to shit. We have to catch ourselves and reel ourselves in and also NOT buy-in to someone else’s shit.
Running a business, managing a department, and just living life requires FOCUS. And, although today's podcast is still about FOCUS and distractions, it's more about your reaction to distraction. Being mindful of what we allow to distract us, what we DO ourselves and the shit we can’t control, and HOW we react to it.
