HAPPY MONDAY MOTIVATION

Welcome back to the weekly podcast, No More Excuses.

Thank you for being here, for listening and sharing this podcast with others and Happy New Year! My apologies for the delay in getting this to you to help you kick-start 2022 and the first Monday of the year, however shit just happens, doesn’t it?

Last Monday’s podcast was about GOALS! Yes, seeing how many are carry-over and why. As I mentioned, I have a few myself, even from 2020.

But let’s all make sure, regardless of carry-over goals or not, that you start looking at 2022 with fresh eyes and a positive outlook.

Last year at this time I talked about GOALS. Resolutions and INTENTIONS! The trifecta for success.

In today's podcast, I share with you the steps I use with my clients to create their Word of the Year!

I created the worksheet years ago to help me, and shared it immediately with my clients to help them make sure the word really resonates with them, versus just choosing any word.

Why is a having a Word of the Year so important? It helps you identify whether you’re on-track when you’re checking your progress. Last year my word was EMPOWER. So, as I’m checking my goals, I review to see how I am helping others. Yes, it’s my “job”, but am I truly helping EMPOWER people to get to that next level? To live their best lives? Am I helping people who aren’t clients?

I had a client whose word was "Communication". We talked about that word a lot throughout the year as we discussed staff communication, how they were learning to talk with not at each other, and how she can help with that as well as how she communicates with others.

In a sense, your Word of the Year keeps you honest!

In today's podcast, I quickly go through how to set your WORD of the YEAR and how to make sure it's keeping you on-track throughout the year.

So this week – as always, do this activity and share here!

Cheers!
